 Pitlochry is centrally located in the Scottish Highlands, and is easily accessible by car, coach or train.90 minutes from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.

Pitlochry makes a great base for your tour of Scotland. Because of its strategic location, you can make day trips from Pitlochry to Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh, saving you the hassle and time of settling into new accommodation every night. In Pitlochry itself, there are a number of attractions and activities for visitors.Weekly outdoor Highland nights in the recreation park,see links below,Country dancing and Highland shows in Pitlochry Town Hall.The Enchanted Forest has moved back to Faskally Woods.Live bands in local bars.

Take a trip to Blair Castle,(home of the only private army in the U.K),visit the spectacular Queens View or shop at House of Bruar.All within 15 minutes drive. The Atholl Highland Gathering and their Highland Games takes place the weekend of 26th and 27th May 2018

Pitlochry boasts two whisky distilleries, Bell's/Blair Athol and Edradour,which is the smallest distillery in Scotland. Both offer tours...and sampling You may wish to take in a show/ comedy/ play at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre,with a different show every day,there is also a programme of events to coincide with the Enchanted Forest with extra attractions and events in the town itself, check out the Observation Chamber at the Dam & Salmon Ladder, or stroll through the local woollen shops along the high street.There is also Pictish stones at Dunfallandy and Sentinal stones in Pitlochry to view for historians.

For the outdoors person, there are a selection of day hikes,cycling routes,river rafting,bungee jumping, lots of fishing and several golf courses,pay a visit to Pitlochrys new golf driving range,advice on walks,fishing,cycling,rafting and golfing is available. We'd be happy to make other suggestions and help you plan your visit to Pitlochry,Perthshire or other areas of Scotland.Fishing can be booked directly for river or loch fishing by going to Pitlochry angling club website or Scotlands Hotel in the town,Salmon,Trout and Grayling fishing available.Angling is also available at Loch Faskally in the town for Salmon,Trout and Pike from boats.Bicycles/car hire booking locally can be arranged.

Pitlochry is only 1hour from the ski slopes of Aviemore or Glenshee.

For a night out drink or meal why not try the Old Mill Inn Bar & Restaurant, Pitlochry,music from live bands and free entry.Friday 30th March "Lynnie Carson"and on Sat 31st"Red Pine Timber Company" are playing from 9pm.
